1600年間，滿清雖已入關(guān)，但中原武林仍隱藏不少反抗力量，滿清親王哆格多頒布“禁武令”，并派前朝降清高手風(fēng)火連城剿殺各地違令武林人士，而風(fēng)火連城的下一個(gè)目標(biāo)便是西北邊陲的武莊。武莊表面上住了一批莊稼人，實(shí)則是反清組織天地會(huì)分舵人馬。路見(jiàn)不平的俠醫(yī)傅青主認(rèn)為要解武莊之危，只有帶了兩位武莊青年武元英和韓志邦上天山求助。

　　天山萬(wàn)里冰封，住了一位擅于鑄劍的世外高人晦明大師。晦明有四大弟子，其中包括大師兄楚昭南，依仗師傅所傳的絕世寶劍，希望將來(lái)可在江湖上快意恩仇；二弟子楊云聰，雖武功高強(qiáng)卻無(wú)意再涉足凡塵。然而，當(dāng)楊云聰冒險(xiǎn)在雪崩危機(jī)中救了遇險(xiǎn)的武元英，其清凈的天山生活終于被打擾了…楊云聰雖萬(wàn)般不愿，但晦明已答應(yīng)襄助，盡遣四大弟子隨傅青主、武元英和韓志邦下山，并把畢生修為煉成的七把寶劍分贈(zèng)七人，展開(kāi)「七劍下天山」的武林傳奇。
