著名填詞人林振強于11月16日因癌病辭世，終年56歲。這位一代詞神的逝世令到不少曾和他合作過的歌手及音樂人都感意外與唏噓。林振強的經典作品多不勝數，其中張學友“每天愛你多一些”、葉蒨文“長夜My Love Goodnight”、陳慧嫻“千千闋歌”、劉德華“愛不完”等，皆出自他的手筆。為紀念這一代詞人，中國香港各大傳媒將分別擬在頒獎禮上向林振強致敬及制作紀念特輯。而港臺更計劃頒發最高榮譽的“金針獎”予林振強，表揚他對樂壇的貢獻。
