索德伯格所拍的關于切·格瓦拉的傳記片現分為上、下兩部上映，第一部就是這部《阿根廷》。《阿根廷》則講述了切和一群古巴流放者在1956年從墨西哥到達古巴，兩年后，他們獲得民眾支持，依靠軍隊推翻了親美的古巴獨裁者巴蒂斯塔的統治。后一部《游擊隊》主要講的是切從1964年到他去世前的事情。
