本片是一部有喜劇色彩的驚險科幻片，男主角為一空軍駕駛員。他自愿參加一項試驗，自己縮小后駕駛一座被縮小成水滴的實驗艙進入兔子體內。但在關鍵時刻，一群野心家和武器販子沖入了實驗室，搶奪了實驗芯片，后來他和實驗艙陰差陽錯地被注入了人體，從而開始了在人體內的歷險。本片的特點是高超的電影特技，人體內的器官經特殊處理放大后放在銀幕上，相當新奇和刺激。在這個“超薄短小'的年代，把科幻探險轉向人體的器官，當然值得一看。該片的取材和以前的老電影《聯合縮小軍》相似。
