劇情介紹：

Showtime 出品的歷史劇“都鐸王朝”，與其說是一個顯赫王朝的興衰史，不如說是一個偏執狂和殺妻狂的羅曼史。

《時代周刊》曾刊文道：“如果16世紀有八卦小報，亨利八世一定是每期的封面人物。”誠然，這位才華橫溢但私欲膨脹的英國國王，一生娶了六個妻子，在歷史上曾留下無數矚目的爭議。

在前兩季中，王后凱瑟琳只誕下一個女兒瑪麗，苦無子嗣繼位的亨利八世對其寵幸不再，轉而愛上女侍官安-博林。工于心計的安不甘做地下情人，在她的誘惑下，亨利八世就罷黜凱瑟琳和認可安的身份，與羅馬教廷展開了長達十年對抗。最終更不惜宣布脫離羅馬教廷，自封為英國教會最高領袖。然而安也只生下了一個女兒伊麗莎白，亨利八世很快又移情別戀，以通奸罪名將安送上斷頭臺。

上一季亨利八世先后迎娶被他稱為“此生真愛”的侍女簡-西摩，克里維斯的安妮以及凱瑟琳-霍華德。與此同時，王室的宗教政策在民間引發“求恩巡禮”，亨利八世下令進行血腥鎮壓。
第四季將是本劇的最終季，焦點仍集中在亨利八世最后兩段婚姻，帥哥喬納森將由亨利八世的中年演繹至暮年。
